How It Works for the Girls
Girls do not have their own separated class. Rather, they join the co-ed group for their age. In all of the groups, there will be other females to practice with. For competition, they are able to compete in EITHER co-ed divisions, or the girls only divisions. The FHSAA has recently sanctioned girls wrestling, so once they hit high school age, they'll ONLY compete against other girls. In each practice group, they'll have other girls to work with.
Fastest Growing Sport in America
Girl's Wrestling has experienced the quickest growth of any sport in the United States. In 2022, FHSAA sanctioned the sport at the HS level in Florida. Our team has embraced the girls since we opened in 2018. Between the 10+ girls on our squad, they've combined for 9 State Titles & over 25 State Medals between Youth & High School!
6x Female State Champion!
Kendal is a rising freshman at Wakulla. She's been with the team since we opened in 2022 and has earned 3 Florida & 3 Georgia State Titles, and 2 other state medals. Watch the video of her 2024 Florida State Semifinal match here.
